God is in control

Recently,
I found out that the job in Maryland isn't going to happen. I was disappointed but God used a single small thing to change my course...
In April, my family and I came to visit my sister before she went to Honduras, but right before we left this is what happened. Yours truly received a speeding ticket just prior to the Maryland visit. Which had it's court date was just before we left. So i didn't think it was going to be a big deal and just paid it. Well...about 3 weeks ago I received in the mail a letter from the DMV and found out I received a larger point value than anticipated. And then received a email from the job stating i needed to bring my drivers license and record when I reported to work. Well I got to thinking about how this company has a "certian" number of points in order to be employed there (when the position requies you to drive a vehicle). So I called and found out the "certain" number and realized I had to many. Needless to say I will not be working there this summer. I feel bad and hope the people who tried to get me there will forgive me. It was an honest mistake. This has revealed to me that even though we make plans God is the one who is in control and He directs our path! My lovely wife is happy we will not be separated for that time. Although we are concerned about our finances, God will provide!
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding and in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight
Praise Christ!

The offense of the cross

I pray that God will draw you to Himself today and that you may know His forgiveness of sin! This is why, unless God draws you to Himself through His Son Jesus, the cross is foolishness to you...

1 Corinthians 1:18
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

If God is drawing you today, ask God to deliver you from your sin and rebellion against Him. Turn to Christ and his vicarious sacrifice on the cross in our place to save you from the pit and be reconciled!
May God grant you peace in His Son!
